Creating adverts on the HugglePets website and on eBay - finding accurate descriptions, researching for images, comparing prices for the lowest, yet profitable. Researching product information for new products that could make a profit, using terapeak and eBay to make comparisons. Currently working on the OnBuy website to ensure that prices are accurate and profitable. - I use my initiative to find information and compare for the most profitable products & prices.

No, I worked at a car parts specialist company (CES) and did RTS – Returns to Suppliers. I also worked in the warehouse as an operative and as a picker, I also covered van controlling.

What process did you have to follow to get your job?

Phone call first, followed by an interview processes, I had two interviews in total.

It is challenging and interesting, I find myself always learning something new.

No. My first job was working within the retail industry.

What process did you have to follow to get your job?

To get this job, I had a 3-stage process. I had an initial interview with one of the managers, and then called back for a follow up. I had to complete a 2-part piece of work – one pitched PowerPoint and one essay – and then making them i was called back in to present.

What is great about your job? What part of your job do you enjoy the most?

The ability to create something and make something every step of the way. Seeing things, I’ve created come to life is a massive rewarding factor of my job.

What training do you get at work to help you do your job role?

I am currently on a Level 3 Digital Marketing course with a 3rd party apprenticeship company. I have a 12-month course and I hope to do Level 4 afterwards.

What skills are required to do your job?

Creativity and Independent Discipline. Being able to see the faults in your own work is hard, but having that mindset is important if you’re looking to create something from scratch. Communication and Leadership. Being able to communicate with other departments is important but being able to take credit for mistakes and become your own boss – in the sense of time management, idea development etc – it is important to have the skill of being able to control yourself.

I didn’t need any qualifications specifically but background knowledge into the media industry has made it easier. Having some knowledge into the sector made starting the job easier.

This was my first job at 17, I started as a Warehouse assistant, working my way up to supervisor.

I joined an apprenticeship programme via Nova training, and then I was invited down for an interview.

I enjoy working within a "family-like" environment, it makes the job much more enjoyable.

Basic training in health and safety, along with previously completed my apprenticeship.

I help customers, answering questions and offering animal care advice. I also keep the store, aquariums, and animal cages clean, and look after the health of the pets for sale, stock shelves, order products from distributors, and maintain records on the animals and products.

No, this wasn't my first job, I worked at West Midlands safari park on the amusements sections, hoping to get a job eventually with the animals, but as I was young they said I didn't have enough experience at the time.

To get this job I was recommended from a rep to this company, as I was to become redundant and this company, I feel, needed someone experienced working in the shop. I had a couple of interviews and here I am, nearly 3 years later!

I get to work with a great team and of course being an animal lover I get to work with animals everyday.
